Community Relief and Development Action (COREDA) is a not-for-profit organization which, since 2009, has been actively providing support services for vulnerable communities in the South West and North West Provinces of Cameroon. Quality education has remained a dire need here as many children complete primary education without adequate literacy and numeracy skills, let alone the advanced IT skills that are increasingly important. This project is helping COREDA provide inclusive and holistic quality education to orphans and underprivileged children in the semi-urban slums of Tiko, a city in southwest Cameroon. COREDA intends to sustain and improve on an initiative that will support the education of about 120 children. BGR funding will provide basic school furniture, literacy materials, and computers so the children can learn valuable skills to equip them for well-paying jobs in a modernizing society. New project
