Community Relief and Development Action (COREDA) is a not-for-profit organization that since 2009 has been actively providing support services for vulnerable communities in the South West and North West Provinces of Cameroon. This project will provide 120 school desks for orphans and other disadvantaged children in Tiko, a city in southwest Cameroon that is a refuge for internally displaced people fleeing violence and instability. In conjunction with past BGR-funded purchases of classroom furniture, literacy materials, and computers, this project will support 240 primary-age children in learning the literacy, numeracy, and technical skills they need to equip them for well-paying jobs in a modernizing society. Existing partner, new project.
