This winter, supporters of Buddhist Global Relief from around the world came together to create an online “Peace and Love Concert” to benefit BGR.

Organizers Warren Huang, of Austin, Texas, and Alexander Ting, of San Francisco, California, introduced the evening, which featured performances by Russian musicians Sergey Ostrovsky and Evgeny Brakhman, playing Frank’s Sonata in A major; Kondratyeva Svetlana and Sholpan Barlykova, playing Saint-Saens’s Etude en forme de valse; and Anastasia Kobekina and Natalya Grines, playing Schubert’s Sonata in A major. An additional highlight of the evening was a pair of performances by young musicians Rui Bo Hsiao, Zhi Hui Lin, and Hong You Liu.

The program director Helen Wang invited this evening’s special guests: Stanislavskaya Liudmila, who Zoomed in from Russia, and Dr. Selena Hong, who spoke from San Francisco.

BGR offers our deep gratitude to the organizers, musicians, and many others whose efforts contributed to this benefit concert.
