This project supports Trees That Feed Foundation (TTFF)’s school feeding program for vulnerable children in Haiti and Jamaica. For 17 years, longtime BGR partner TTFF has provided nutrient-rich and hearty breadfruit-based food to schoolchildren suffering from or at risk of malnutrition. In some cases these are the only meals the children eat all day.
This project is providing nutritious breadfruit-based meals to 1,378 schoolchildren. In addressing hunger and education, TTFF also supports the local economy and improves climate resilience in the region by promoting the planting of breadfruit trees and the processing of the crops.
