Dhammajarinee Witthaya School (DWS) in Pak Thao, Thailand, serves students from highly vulnerable backgrounds, with 95 percent of students coming from broken and troubled homes. Roughly 40 percent of the girls who attend the school have been orphaned or abandoned, and 80 percent have grown up below the poverty line. Education gives girls a chance to avoid economic and social exploitation; every year of schooling increases a girl’s future income by 20 percent.
This project provides three meals per day to 33 DWS students. By addressing this critical need, the project is helping these underserved girls gain the strength and stability necessary to excel academically and build brighter futures.
