For more than 25 years, the Organisation Sociale pour le Développement Économique (OSDE)/Na Rive community development program has worked in Haiti to develop Haitian-led programs providing food assistance, educational opportunities, and disaster relief to the residents of Port-au-Prince’s Ti Plas Kazo community. This project supports the Lamanjay Food Program, serving more than 4,500 meals per week for children and families at two sites in Ti Plas Kazo. Na Rive’s Community Cafeteria serves hot, nutritious meals for approximately 1,260 people each day; for the children and families served here, the meals provided are often their only food of the day. The project also provides lunches for about 750 students and staff members of the Father Jeri School, which was partly furnished and equipped with BGR assistance.
