Mindful Dharma and Agama study groups
The Mindful Dharma is an online study group held on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th, if any, Sunday morning from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Our reading list covers Buddhist doctrinal topics as well as meditation practice methods.
We are currently reading Mindfulness: A Practical Guide to Awakening by Joseph Goldstein. Past readings include: The Noble Eightfold Path by Bhikkhu Bodhi, Mindfully Facing Disease and Death by Bhikkhu Analayo, and The Heart of Buddhist Meditation by Nyanaponika Thera.
The Agama is another online study group held on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th, if any, Sunday afternoon from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. We currently follow the Syllabus for a Systematic Study of the Majjhima Nikāya by Bhikkhu Bodhi to read the Majjhima Nikaya. We will read the Samyutta Nikaya next year.
We conduct the reading in English but discussion in Mandarin Chinese. All are welcome to join our Mindful Dharma and Agama study groups if interested.
