Since its founding in 2000, BGR partner organization the What If Foundation (WIF) has served more than 5 million meals to hungry children in the Ti Plas Kazo neighborhood of Port-au-Prince. In 2016, WIF opened its Father Jeri School, named for Haitian human rights activist and WIF co-founder Father Gerard Jean-Juste. Today, the school provides a quality education to 300 children who otherwise would likely fall through the cracks of Haiti’s education system. A 2019 grant to the Father Jeri School will cover full tuition for half of its students, providing these children with a foundation upon which to build a healthy, productive future. A separate BGR grant supports WIF’s Lamanjay feeding program, giving these children the nutrition they need to thrive. Annually renewable project
