About Elizabeth Tu
We are two study groups meeting on the first, third and fifth, if any, Sundays of each month from 9:30 to 11:30 am and 1:30 to 3:30 pm via Zoom. The study groups have been meeting for over two decades studying various books on Buddha's teaching and Agama suttas.
In the Mindful Dharma group, currently we're reading Joseph Goldstein's "Mindfulness: A Practical Guide to Awakening," recommended by Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi. In the past, we finished studying: The Heart of Buddhist Meditation by Nyanaponika Thera, Mindfully Facing Disease and Death by Bhikkhu Analayo, The Noble Eightfold Path by Bhikkhu Bodhi, The Art of Disappearing, Mindfulness in Plain English, Being Nobody Going Nowhere, etc.
The Agama group is reading The Middle Length Discourses of the Buddha, translated by Bhikkhu Nanamoli and Bhikkhu Bodhi. We finished reading In the Buddha's Words, edited and introduced by Bhikkhu Bodhi.
