For more than 10 years, Kanpalet township in southern Chin State, Myanmar, has been powerfully impacted by conflicts; the 2021 military coup has only escalated the violence here. Thousands of innocent civilians have fled their villages, leaving behind homes and workplaces and seeking refuge in internally displaced persons (IDP) camps.

BGR partner New Eden Charity Foundation (NECF) works to protect the health and well-being of IDPs and other people in need in Myanmar. In this project, NECF is distributing kits containing cooking oil, salt, soap, and washing powder to 300 families newly arrived in IDP camps near Kanpalet township. The project will also supply a month’s supply of rice to 2,000 internally displaced people.
