Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi and Kim Behan Win Prestigious Award

This past October 15, our Chairperson, Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi, and Executive Director, Kim Behan jointly received the prestigious Dr. Ambedkar Prabuddha Bharata Peace Award, granted by the Nagarjuna Training Institute. The institute, based at Nagaloka in Nagpur, continues the heritage of Engaged Buddhism started by the Dalit leader, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar (1891-1956).

Meeting the New Year: An Online Weekend BGR Retreat

To help us meet the new year, the monastic team of BGR will hold an online three-day retreat over the weekend of January 7–9. The theme of the retreat is “Clarity, Compassion, and Courage,” three qualities that will enable us to marshal our inner resources as we welcome the new year.

Buddhist Action to Feed the Hungry 2021

In 2021, BGR hosted two online Dharma gatherings featuring talks by BGR founder Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi and other Buddhist teachers: a Pacific/Mountain U.S. gathering, held on October 2, and a Eastern/Central U.S. gathering, on October 30.
