Genocidal attacks against the Rohingya and increased violence targeting political dissidents have forced many people to flee to Chin. The new arrivals are farmers who have been forced to abandon their fields as they fled for safety.

BGR partner New Eden Charity Foundation works to protect the health and well-being of internally displaced people (IDPs). Kits containing food, cooking oil, salt, soap, and washing powder help maintain families for one month. Relying on its long history of working with local communities and the skills of its dedicated staff, New Eden Charity Foundation plans to help 2,000 families. Displaced families will receive support regardless of ethnic, class, or religious background.
