Mahabodhi Maitri Mandala Arunachal Branch, Diyun, was established in 2003 to provide an education to local children in need. Half of the students are from single-parent families or are orphaned, and many are malnourished prior to admission. The school provides free schooling and residential care for 214 children, 154 of whom are girls. The student body includes children from 15 different tribal communities, including children from the Chakma and Hajong refugee communities, who are often excluded from access to services. This project will support education, residential care, meals, health screenings, and necessary school supplies for all of the school’s students.
