Mahabodhi Maitri Mandala began working to help the poor and needy in 2003, using bamboo huts to provide classroom and hostel space to area children. Generous support from villagers and other donors allowed the group to acquire 29 acres in Diyun, where it now offers a range of humanitarian services.
Many of the students who arrive at the group’s hostel and school are malnourished prior to admission. This project will support Mahabodhi Maitri Mandala’s education and feeding programs for at-risk students. The project will provide nutritious meals as well as covering the cost of school supplies, improving the lives of 228 students. Third year of a three-year project.
