In Paletwa Township, Chin State, in Myanmar, thousands of people have been internally displaced due to heavy fighting in the region. Among these families, many of whom are living in IDP (internally displaced persons’) camps in the region, are hundreds of children whose educations have been put on hold. While there are potential volunteer teachers in the camps, the students lack supplies. This project with New Eden Charity Foundation provides needed school supplies for 900 children in sixteen IDP camps, more than half of whom are girls; many of these students share materials with siblings, benefiting an additional 600 children.
