Located on a six-acre plot in the Himalayan region of Tawang, in Arunachal Pradesh, the Mahabodhi Maitri Children’s Home houses, feeds, and educates 124 local children in need. On Sundays and holidays the children visit and help the elderly people living at the nearby Mahabodhi Home for Elders. New BGR partner Mahabodhi Tawang Centre also provides housing, food, and other support for seven young women who are pursuing higher education.
