Mahabodhi Maitri Mandala began working to help the poor and needy in 2003, using bamboo huts to provide classroom and hostel space to area children. Generous support from villagers and other donors allowed the group to acquire 29 acres in Diyun, where it now offers a range of humanitarian services. Many of the students who arrive at the hostel and school here are malnourished prior to admission. This project will provide meals, health screenings, and school supplies to 260 students.
