In Undrajavaram Mandal in Andhra Pradesh, nearly 30 percent of the population lacks access to sanitary toilets, contributing to the spread of diseases like typhoid, polio, diarrhea, jaundice, and cholera. Adolescent girls often miss school due, in part, to inadequate sanitation facilities. This project with the India-based Rosary Prayer Society will construct low-cost sanitary latrines in areas of need. The project will directly benefit 2,500 people, including 1,750 women and girls, and an estimated 1,500 people will be indirect beneficiaries. New partner, new project.
