Founded in 1992, Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC)’s Mahabodhi Residential School serves hundreds of children from economically marginalized communities of Ladakh. Many of these students are housed in hostels, though some who live nearby attend as day students.

The school’s Humanities and Commerce offerings have grown recently, and in order to better meet the needs of students MIMC plans to build additional class space. The new rooms will allow 700 students to continue to learn and grow, and will serve as multipurpose meeting spaces for 500 other beneficiaries.
