This project with longtime partner Trees That Feed Foundation (TTFF) addresses hunger and malnutrition issues, childhood education, economic opportunity, and climate resilience in Haiti. The core of the project is the provision of meals to 1,500 children in schools and orphanages in northeastern and central Haiti. The basis of the meals are Konparets, a Haitian-style biscuit primarily made from breadfruit flour and other local ingredients, produced by small local bakeries in the area. The food is nutritious, calorie-rich, and filling. The project also provides educational materials to students whose schools participate in the breadfruit breakfast program. Annually renewable project.
