Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi recently joined the Insight Myanmar podcast for a conversation addressing many of the ethical and moral complexities raised by the ongoing crisis in Myanmar.
Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi writes: “This is the recording of a conversation I had with Joah McGhee, host of the Insight Myanmar podcast, on the current crisis in Myanmar. We discuss engaged Buddhism and the challenges facing the Myanmar people in dealing with a brutal military junta. The questions came primarily from people in Myanmar themselves—from people who are struggling to find the appropriate Buddhist moral response to the ruthless and often arbitrary violence that has become their daily reality. The questions were some of the toughest I’ve ever faced in my life as a monk.”
