THE LOVING HEART SEEKS TO SUSTAIN ALL

Join Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi and the worldwide BGR community for our annual Buddhist Action to Feed the Hungry online gathering on
October 26, 2024, 1–3 p.m. ET/10 a.m.–12 p.m. PT.

In its most universal dimension, love entails that we cherish others for their own sakes, without qualifications or preconditions. This kind of love involves an unwavering commitment to protect others from everything that endangers their well-being. It wants all people everywhere—regardless of race, ethnicity or religion—to live lives that are safe, fulfilling, and profoundly meaningful. The heart filled with love seeks to uplift all, to sustain all, to free every person from suffering.

For the past sixteen years, BGR has been pledged precisely to this mission. Stirred by love and compassion, we have been providing people in the most desperate conditions with the essential requisites of a good life: sufficient food and water, education, vocational training, and the chance to pursue productive livelihoods.

On Saturday, October 26, BGR’s chairperson, Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi, will host a two-hour program from 1 to 3 p.m. Eastern (10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pacific) introducing you to our work. We will feature short overviews of our outstanding projects, a guided meditation on compassion, and Dharma talks by inspiring Buddhist teachers.

Please reserve the date to join us for this wonderful celebration of the BGR community.

While our events are offered free of charge, all donations directly support Buddhist Global Relief and our work to relieve the suffering of chronic hunger and poverty worldwide; please consider giving generously as your means allow. We cannot do this work without you.
