Buddhist Action 2023: Creating a World that Works for Everyone

This year’s event spoke to the importance of collaboration and community in our work to create a world that honors the life and well-being of everyone on this Earth. Presenters included Rick Hanson, Raimund Hopf, Ven. Jin Chuan, Ven. Jin Wei, Roshi Joan Hoeberichts, Ayya Yeshe, and Dhammadīpā.

2023 New Year Retreat: Anchoring Our Lives in the Dharma

This event was a beautiful celebration of our worldwide community of practitioners of conscientious compassion, featuring Dharma talks from renowned Buddhist teachers: Roshi Joan Hogetsu Hoeberichts, Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi, Bhante Buddharakkita; and Dassanāya Buddhist Community founder Ayyā Dhammadīpa.

Buddhist Action to Feed the Hungry 2021

In 2021, BGR hosted two online Dharma gatherings featuring talks by BGR founder Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi and other Buddhist teachers: a Pacific/Mountain U.S. gathering, held on October 2, and a Eastern/Central U.S. gathering, on October 30.

2021 Spring Retreat: The Brahma Viharas

During Memorial Day Weekend 2021, Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi, Ayya Dhammadipa, Rev. Jin Chuan, and the worldwide BGR community came together for our first online meditation retreat in support of our work to relieve the suffering of hunger and poverty around the world.

Buddhist Action to Feed the Hungry 2020

In 2020, as the Covid pandemic continued to make in-person gatherings unsafe, BGR replaced our annual Walks to Feed the Hungry with a new series of regional online gatherings. In the years since, these Buddhist Action to Feed the Hungry gatherings have become a beautiful opportunity for the worldwide BGR community to join together in the Dharma.
